Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've
learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world.
One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
On this page I'll provide a little information about who I am and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this
information was obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this
research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!

This is a picture taken in Belvidere Park near where we have our yearly McGee Family Reunions in late July. The bench
was erected in honor and memory of my grandmother Avis Ida (Fox) McGee. Grandma loved to sit and watch the children in the
park playing, and this bench faces a small playground so other generations from now can sit and watch what Grandma loved to
watched. This is also the last picture taken of all of Grandma and Grandpa McGee's children together. From left are:

This website would not be possible if it weren't for Judi Rae (McGee) Whittle and her trek to Utah years ago in search
of who we McGee's were, and where we came from. So, thank you Judi Rae, it's because of what you started years ago that this
has become the labor of love that it remains today!

my endless stream of family history questions, some of the precious family stories included in this site would not be possilble.
